Embedded in urban contexts in Buffalo, NY and around the world, the School of Architecture and Planning are architecture and planning hands-on, full-scale, all-in. As a community of thought leaders and aspiring architects and urban planners, the faculty thinks and acts on the edge of knowledge and practice, guided by a culture of experimentation, a core belief in learning by doing, and a spirit of public service and inclusion.
Led by Prof. Joyce Hwang, the School of Planning and Architecture, UB will be conducting a series of site visits with its students to investigate the imaginings, possibilities, and challenges of multi-purpose arts centres and their interactions with urban landscapes and literary interventions (such as the Doek Arts Trust’s ongoing projects).
